Old Juniper

Location:  Utah, Canyonlands, Needles District

Sheltered from the sun behind a large rock, I wrote in my journal:  “Fighting gnats, I sketched quickly and only sketched a small portion of the Juniper.  The result was better!  It was so twisted and gnarled with many stories yet to tell.
